Today I enrolled on my next course - the Photoshop Improvers Course. As you may know, it was my intention to enrol on the NCFE Level 2 course, but I was unable to secure a place due to the course I could make being over subscribed. Yet I want to keep going with my studies if possible, and now I can. This doesn't result in a qualification, but it will sharpen my skills further and hopefully widen my palette of available resources to use when - ahem - 'enhancing' my images! It doesn't start until January, but it is on a Friday morning and I'm hopeful that I'll end up with at least one other image that I can use as a book cover. I'm hoping to revisit my previous covers to adjust them in case there is ever a second edition of any of them. Above is one of the photos I took for my first NCFE Portfolio. It is called (under-whelmingly) 'Book Cover'. Below is the same photo, but now adjusted to make it into the cover for my next collection of poetry - 'Moments in Time' The book cover as shown above is probably not the final version, but it is getting close to the look and feel that I want the final version to have.
I'm hopeful that this next course will allow me to experiment further and become a little more creative with the photos I have taken, and I'm really looking forward to it. Until the next time, stay safe and keep snapping... A R C

Alan MitchellI'm always trying to capture that fleeting 'moment' in time -whether by taking a photo or writing a poem. My attempts to capture that illusive feeling, sight, sensation or sound in some way is, to me, magical. Archives
